About Stone Story

It’s time for a little story about me.

 

Hi, my name is Cynthia. I’m a proud mum to two amazing boys, Alex and Matthew, and to our furry baby, Sasha. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and in 2022 my family and I moved to the beautiful town of Corsham, where we are now happily based.

 

For 18 years, I worked as a flight attendant — a career I truly loved and felt so blessed to have. But, like so many, my life was turned upside down in 2020. Suddenly the world changed, my job still existed, but the work didn’t. It was frightening and uncertain, but I held on to the gratitude that my family was healthy. During that time, I stumbled into the world of crystals, and something inside me just clicked. I instantly fell in love with them, and they filled a space I didn’t even realise was missing.

At first, I simply collected crystal and mineral ornaments. Then I began experimenting with beaded bracelets, which gradually grew into designing and sourcing jewellery. Along the way, I’ve been lucky to meet so many kind, generous people who’ve shared their knowledge with me. I’m still learning every day and constantly working to refine what I create and curate.

Today, I design some of my own pieces, hand-make beaded jewellery, and also source beautiful treasures from around the world. I believe everyone deserves a little sparkle — a touch of bling, a dash of magic, and definitely plenty of pretty things to brighten their lives. That’s exactly what Stone Story is all about: every person and every piece has a story to tell.

My goal is for my humble shop to have something for everyone — whether you’re after full-on glam, casual sparkle, a thoughtful gift for a loved one, or a little treat to make your home or workspace feel special.
