Amethyst - Stone of Calm

Amethyst, with its rich violet hue, was treasured by both the Egyptians and the Romans. Its name comes from the Greek amethystos, meaning “not intoxicated” — it was believed to protect against drunkenness.
Historically, amethyst was set into crowns and worn by bishops as a symbol of wisdom and purity. It is still seen as a calming, protective stone, linked with peace, balance, and spiritual growth.
